Well so tonight was a sad night at the Mickelsen home. We had to put our family dog Mitzi who has been with our family for almost 16 years to sleep today. We will sure miss her. I know it sounds so stupid how you could cry so hard over an animal dying but I was a boob & I will admit it. She has been in our family forever. It was best to do what we decided cause she was dying of kidney failure and was so skinny. We sure loved her. I'm glad she was with our family this long. We love you Mitzi! I do believe that we will see her again.

I think that dogs for sure go to Heaven. And I think she is there right now running around and loving having her young energy back!
I am so sorry! It is so hard to lose a pet from your childhood. We lost Bozco a few years ago, and it was hard on our whole family.
I remember your dog so well. You would always talk to her in a high voice and she loved it. It is great that she was with your family so long. I don't know I have ever heard of another dog living 16 years.
Sorry again, I am also a boob like you, so don't feel dumb.

Im so sorry Becca!! It makes me sad for you! Don't feel dumb that dog was def. a family member so it's totally normal to be super sad!

Becca, I'm SO sad Mitzi was put to sleep! I still remember when your mom got her, she was such a cute little dog! And I can hear Dora saying to Mitzie when she was in trouble, "Mit-ZIE!" We had to put our dog Spud to sleep that Grandma loved so much, it was so sad and we just sobbed! Sorry to hear about little Mitzie- I'll miss her too:(
So sad! I did like that little dog. Even though she would chase me back and forth and wouldn't let me sit on the couch! She was so funny and full of energy. I cried when Spud got put down. And I'm glad you are feeling better!
I remember Mitzi. She would run around the kitchen as fast as she could go.
Hope your mom and dad don't get to lonely without her.
That totally sucks Becca, I am sorry she had to be put down. I don't know what I would do if something happened to my dog. At least she isn't suffering any longer.
